Description

If you’ve ever wondered if the sun has a flavor, the Yellow Scotch Bonnet Pepper is your answer. This deeply lobed fruit that resembles the folds of a Scottish cap is sweet and fruity, and hot enough to break a wild horse. The generous plant produces 1"-2" fruits that ripen from green to yellow to yellower. This sunny little pepper is a key ingredient in Jamaican foods for unique flavor and scorching heat, and can easily ignite all of your recipes.

I got 90% germination, and they are living happily so far on a heated mat in some coco coir starter. I am happy with these, and I am also growing the red ones. Both really performed well for me this year.

Planted three seeds each in four pots and none of them germinated.
I plant a dozen different types of peppers under LED grow lights starting in mid-March and these were the only ones that didn't germinate. I was quite disappointed because I was really looking forward to adding these chilies to our homemade, fermented sriracha.

Too cool.
I got the seeds but it has been too cool for germination - maybe in a couple weeks.

Did not germinate
I tried starting these at several different times at not a single seed germinated. I bought a packet of scotch bonnet seeds from a different company and they germinated on the first try. I am also not a fan of the packaging... a little clear plastic bag. You also get very few seeds for the price.

I’ve bought seeds from three different places for the same seeds and when I planted them I got two completely different plants growing they all are supposed to be scotch bonnet pepper seeds. But the plants couldn’t be more different if I sent you a picture could you tell me which ...
